<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce rise of temperature in paper non-passing parts and changes in conveyance speed of recording material at a nip part, and to accelerate heating treatment of an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image heating device comprises: a heating member 2; and a pressure roller 4 which includes an elastic layer 8 and has contact with the heating member to form a nip part N. The image heating device heats a toner image while holding and conveying a recording material P which carries a toner image t at the nip part. The elastic layer of the pressure roller includes thermosetting silicone rubber 8A containing heat conductive fillers 12. The thermosetting silicone rubber includes: gap parts 10 formed of resin microballoons; and hole path parts 11 which connect the gap parts. And thermal conductivity of the elastic layer is 0.15 W/mK to 0.5 W/mK. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
