AROMATIC POLYAMIDE FIBER WIRE CORD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fully aromatic polyamide cord for a wire cord that has high strength and is not easily broken due to bending fatigue.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the wire cord formed by using metal-coated aromatic polyamide fiber yarn as twine and coating the twine with thermoplastic resin, and the aromatic polyamide fiber constituting the cord satisfies the items (1)-(5) and the wire cord satisfies the item (6). (1) The aromatic polyamide fiber has a single yarn fineness of 0.5-5 dtex. (2) The aromatic polyamide fiber yarn has a total fineness of 100-800 dtex. (3) The aromatic polyamide fiber yarn has a strength of 20 cN/dtex or more. (4) The twine is a single-twist or ply twine comprising one or a plurality of pieces of aromatic polyamide fiber yarn and having a twist constant of 1-4. (5) The amount of sticking of the metal on the aromatic polyamide fiber is 10-50 wt.% for the total weight of fiber. (6) The wire cord has an electric resistance value of 10-1Ω/cm or less.
