<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of reducing electric power consumption required for attachment/detachment detection of an external accessory. <P>SOLUTION: A camera comprises: a body side mount part 101 to which a lens barrel 200 is detachably mounted and which has an electrical contact 102e connected to the lens barrel 200; a power circuit 115 which output DC signals to the electrical contact 102e; an oscillation circuit 114 which outputs pulse signals to the electrical contact 102e; and a body side control circuit 103 which detects attachment/detachment of the lens barrel 200 by detecting the signal level of the electrical contact 102e. The body side control circuit 103 stops outputting of DC signals by the power circuit 115 and starts outputting of pulse signals by the oscillation circuit 114 simultaneously in accordance with detection of attachment of the lens barrel 200, and stops outputting of pulse signals by the oscillation circuit 114 and starts outputting of DC signals by the power circuit 115 simultaneously in accordance with detection of detachment of the lens barrel 200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
