<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a zeolite separation membrane, the method controlling frequency in occurrence of a grain boundary per base-material surface area, restraining coexisting components from passing through the grain boundary, and improving the separating capability of the membrane under high concentrated conditions. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a zeolite separation membrane, slurry which contains zeolite crystal seed particles 4 is made to firmly adhere to the surface of a porous tube 1 which is a base material, and then a zeolite-based membrane is secondarily grown from the crystal seed particles by means of a hydrothermal synthesis method. In the process in which the zeolite crystal seed particles are made to firmly adhere to the surface of the porous tube, a screen 2 having regular openings is externally mounted on the surface of the porous tube, and the slurry is applied to the surface of the porous tube through the screen to make the slurry firmly adhere to the surface of the porous tube in a regular distribution pattern which conforms to the openings of the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
