<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solidification processing method for radioactive waste in which a solidified body which meets burying standards is obtained even when the ratio of used ion-exchange resin and used sand which are charged in a solidification container is unknown. <P>SOLUTION: Used sand and used ion exchange resin discharged from a sand filter 1 and a condensate demineralization tower 2 are stored in a storage tank 3. The used sand and used ion exchange resin as radioactive waste are irregularly present in the storage tank 3. A bag filled with the radioactive waste taken out of the storage tank 3 is kept in a metal drum 4 for keeping. The radioactive waste taken out of the bag is charged in a metal drum 6 for kneading solidification, and water in a water tank 7 and cement in a cement tank 10 are supplied to the metal drum 6 for kneading solidification and kneaded by a stirrer. Although the ratio of the used sand and used ion exchange resin charged in the metal drum 6 for kneading solidification is unknown, a water/cement ratio is 0.43, and thereby the obtained solidified body satisfies the burying standards. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
