<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-intake mechanism for check dam, simple in structure and readily maintainable, and capable of easily switching between water-intake in a normal state and lodging of a water-intake gutter when clogging occurs due to flood or sediment. <P>SOLUTION: In an inventive water-intake mechanism for check dam, a water-intake gutter which can be lodged or deformed is arranged at the downstream side of a waterway of a check dam. By extending the terminal of the water-intake gutter to a sleeve part of the check dam, water intake by the water-intake gutter is enabled in a normal state, and when clogging occurs due to flood or sediment, the water-intake gutter is lodged or deformed to avoid trouble caused by flood or clogging.
