An electric wire (10) having a terminal is provided with a female terminal (12) which is on an electric wire (11) formed by the outer periphery of a core wire (13) being coated with an insulating coating (14). The female terminal (12) is provided with: a wire barrel (17), having a base plate (15) whereon the core wire (13) is placed, and being contact bonded to the core wire (13); and a groove section (19) which is formed so as to extend from the base plate (15) in the direction in which the core wire (13) extends, and wherein the surface on the core wire (13) side is bent so as to form a concave shape. The groove section (19) comprises a water-stopping wall (22) which is filled into the groove section (19) by mold forming a synthetic resin material. The region from the water-stopping wall (22) to the end of the insulating coating (14) is coated by a water-stopping coating (25); and the inner surface of the water-stopping coating (25) is adhered to the water stopping wall (22).
