<p>Composite article (10) includes a generally cylindrical body (12) having an internal grid structure (22) interleaved with casing layers (16, 18, 19 ) formed of reinforcing fibers disposed in a resin matrix. The composite article is utilized in a fan case containment system for aircraft engine applications. Methods for fabricating the composite article are also provided.</p> |
