PURPOSE: An exhaust gas after-treatment system is provided to stably purify nitrogen oxide in a diesel particulate filter by adsorbing or emitting hydrocarbon depending on the temperature of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas after-treatment system comprises an oxidation catalyst, a hydrocarbon trap(130), and a diesel particulate filter(140). The oxidation catalyst reacts with toxic materials contained in exhaust gas and removes parts of the toxic materials. The hydrocarbon trap is arranged on the rear end of the oxidation catalyst and adsorbs or emits hydrocarbon depending on the set temperature of exhaust gas. The diesel particulate filter collects particulate matters contained in the exhaust gas and purifies nitrogen oxide using the hydrocarbon contained in the exhaust gas. |
