SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FILTERING MEDIA FILE

A system and a method for filtering a media file in a wired/wireless network environment are provided to prevent illegal sharing and transfer of the media file by filtering the media file with feature information, which keeps the same information regardless of modification of a file name, compression, and format modification, of the media file. A filtering information extraction module(100) extracts a keyword, the Hash value, and feature information by analyzing a media file received in response to a registration or transfer request. An information comparing module(110) controls registration or transfer by filtering comparing the extracted keyword, hash value, and feature information with the keyword, the hash value, and the feature information stored in a database.
