PURPOSE: An internet searching method using a voice recognition method in an IPTV(Internet Protocol TeleVision and apparatus) thereof are provided to improve voice recognition rates by automatically changing broadcasting volumes into predetermined volumes. CONSTITUTION: When a voice search mode key is activated, an internet search apparatus executes a voice search mode(201). After a voice signal is compressed and encoded, the apparatus transmits the voice signal to a STB(Set Top Box)(205). A voice recognition server changes the voice signal into text information. The apparatus displays the text information on the search window of a display unit(209). When the activation mode of the voice search mode key is canceled, the apparatus terminates the voice search mode(211, 213). |
