PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter substrate for a display which is hard to cause separation between an adhesion layer and a filter substrate when the filter substrate is connected to a display panel via an adhesion layer.

SOLUTION: A filter substrate for a display comprises a glass substrate having a first surface and a second surface, and a ceramic layer provided on at least a part of the circumference of the second surface. SO3concentration on the second surface is less than or equal to 0.5 mass% and the warpage amount is less than or equal to 0.5%.
