<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic penetration testing machine and an attaching method of an extension rod, capable of appropriately attaching the extension rod to a chuck unit when adding the extension rod. <P>SOLUTION: The extension rod is connected to a penetration rod 4 held by the chuck unit provided in an elevating/lowering base which can be elevated/lowered, a locking part 4c provided on the penetration rod 4 already held by the chuck unit and the chuck unit are disengaged, the extension rod is connected to the rear end of the penetration rod 4, and the elevating/lowering base is elevated/lowered. Then, engaging means 22 is matched with the locking part of the extension rod by normally rotating the chuck unit accompanying the normal rotation drive of a driving source part 24, the driving source part 24 is reversely rotated in a direction of reversely rotating the chuck unit temporarily after it is matched, and the attachment of the extension rod is completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
