<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely insert twin electric cables into a rotator easily, surely twist an electric cable pair, and manufacture twisted pair cable with high workability and productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A unit 1 for twisting an electric cable pair comprises a slit part 2 provided for a portion in a circumferential direction, an annular rotator 3 having an inner peripheral surface 3a with a larger diameter than the slit part, a pair twisting bar 4 installed on the inner peripheral surface opposite to the slit part, and rotation driving means 5 for rotating the rotator. A pair of electric cables 23 in parallel to a slit-width direction that is inserted from the slit part to the inside of the inner peripheral surface is arranged one by one on each side of the pair twisting bar. An electric cable guide member 21 having a pair of inclined planes 21a continuing to the both sides of the slit part 2 in the width direction is provided for a frame 14, and the pair of electric cables 23 is brought into contact with the pair of inclined planes with an interval wider than the width W of the slit part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
