DISTRIBUTED AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed authentication system and method which are capable of more safely and more surely performing authentication in an environment where services and data are distributed in a plurality of devices.

SOLUTION: In the distributed authentication system, an authentication client 1A being an origin of authentication includes: a data dividing part 12 which divides data C obtained by encrypting input data X; a distributed data transmission part 17 which transmits several pieces of the plurality of divided data pieces to one or more authentication servers 4A and a plurality of authentication assistant servers 3i in different combinations; and the authentication assistant servers 3i among which the authentication server 4A cannot restore original information only by data from each authentication assistant server but can restore the information by collecting data from a plurality of authentication assistant servers. Therefore, authentication is possible even if several servers out of the authentication assistant servers 3 are damaged or disconnected, and information relating to the authentication is not stolen when an arbitrary authentication assistant server 3i is stolen.
