<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable recording medium driving device which enables a floppy disk corresponding device to be compatible with a large capacity portable recording medium with minimum changes. <P>SOLUTION: A portable recording medium driving device includes a floppy disk interface, and through the interface, its built-in control section is connected to a host device which can access a floppy disk body. The device has: an attachment part having a large capacity portable recording medium attached which has multiple pseudo areas simulating multiple floppy disks and management data including names of the pseudo areas and link information; access area decision means which searches and decides the pseudo area to access when a floppy disk access request is given by the host device, based on the name of the pseudo area related to the access request; and access execution means which actually accesses in accordance with the link information related to the pseudo area decided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
