The method involves forming a recess (4) in a printed circuit board (1), and producing a metallic contact surface (31) or a metallic contact member in the recess or an edge area around the recess. Another metallic contact surface (32) with a spiry projection (6) is produced on a contact region on another printed circuit board (2). The boards are positioned above one another such that the boards overlap in a portion, and the projection projects into the recess. The boards are soldered with one another through the recess such that a mechanically fixed connection is formed between the boards. An independent claim is also included for a printed circuit board system comprising a strip conductor.
