PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily identifying a place of origin or production process of a large number of abalones without mounting a special grippable attachable tool or a metal piece to the abalones for the purpose of identifying.

SOLUTION: The method for identifying the abalones is to identify the production area of the abalones by applying striped patterns of two or more colors to an abalone shell by feeding the abalones with a plurality of seaweeds having different colors.
