<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal ring that has a long-life coating film having a stable quality, wherein the friction of the film is reduced to reduce driving energy of a piston, the film makes a power-recovery device high efficiency and is maintenance free for a long period, and also provide the power-recovery device and a seawater desalination unit with the seal ring. <P>SOLUTION: The seal rings BR1 and BR3 are used by abutting on a sliding surface 67b on which a reciprocating and driving piston 63p and a cylinder 63s slide, or by abutting on a sliding surface 68b on which a piston rod 63r and the cylinder 63s slide. The seal rings include: annular base materials OR1 and OR3 having deformability for fluid-tightly sealing; and a diamond-like carbon film which covers at least part of the base materials OR1 and OR3 by the pulse plasma method and directly come into contact with the sliding surfaces 67b and 68b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
