摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent which has limitations in expandability in the stent-axial direction, so as to reduce contraction in the stent-radial direction, while maintaining high expansion strength in the stent-radial direction. <P>SOLUTION: The stent 10 to be retained in a tubular lumen such as blood vessel of a human body for use, and is formed in an almost tubular body. The stent is formed in a mesh shape with a first wire group 21 in the lateral direction wired by acute angle of 45 degree or less to the stent axis and a second wire group 22 in the lengthwise direction crossing the first wire group 21. The quadrangular mesh shape woven by the first wire group 21 and the second wire group 22 is asymmetric in the sectional direction of the stent axis 41. A first end 14 of a peripheral end 12 at one end of the stent 10 and a second end 15 of a peripheral end 13 symmetrical to the first end 14 with respect to the stent axis 41 at the other end are extended opposite to each other in the direction of the stent axis 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
