<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a management system capable of appropriately performing management such as control of a function list which can be provided by an image forming apparatus for using functions provided by a function providing device to provide the functions to a client device. <P>SOLUTION: A management system includes a management device, an image forming apparatus, a function providing device, and a client device. The image forming apparatus, when receiving an acquisition request for a function list from the management device, sends a query regarding operation of a function provided to the image forming apparatus to the function providing device for providing the image forming apparatus with a part of functions provided by the image forming apparatus to the client device, and when receiving a reply to the query from the function providing device, creates the function list regarding functions provided by the image forming apparatus to the client device, based on information regarding functions which can be provided to the image forming apparatus and information regarding functions which can be provided by the image forming apparatus to the client device, which are selected from functions which are included in the reply and can be provided by the function providing device, and sends the created function list to the management device.
