<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture tank capable of culturing microorganisms under an appropriate condition while controlling the culture cost. <P>SOLUTION: The culture tank is for culturing photosynthetic microorganisms and includes: an open channel 1 for letting photosynthetic microorganisms and a culture solution for culturing the photosynthetic microorganisms flow; a carbonator 2 for dissolving carbon dioxide in the culture solution; and a pump 5 for circulating the photosynthetic microorganisms and the culture solution within the culture tank. The open channel 1 is gutter-shaped, and an upper part 21 of the carbonator 2 and a lower part 22 of the carbonator 2 are connected to each other by the open channel 1. The photosynthetic microorganisms and the culture solution reach the lower part 22 from the upper part 21 through the open channel 1, and the photosynthetic microorganisms and the culture solution reaching the lower part 22 rise within the carbonator 2 to reach the upper part 21 by the pump 5.
