<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimode radio communication device which comprises one radio unit shared by a plurality of communication modes and which is capable of switching communication modes at high speed. <P>SOLUTION: A multimode radio communication device comprises a radio unit capable of switching communication modes, and a control unit which controls the radio unit to periodically operate in a mobile phone mode and to switch to a wireless LAN mode after a prescribed time period. When the control unit has detected the occurrence of an incoming call event during a period when the radio unit is under a standby reception state in a mobile telephone mode, the control unit restricts switching to the wireless LAN mode and determines whether communication in the mobile phone mode is continued or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
