<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of facilitating use of a common package member for a light-emitting element having a different conductive substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module includes: a light-emitting element; a drive IC having a first pad capable of supplying a power supply-side voltage and a second pad capable of supplying a ground-side voltage; a first lead; a ground lead; a second lead; an input lead; and a power voltage lead. The ground-side voltage is supplied from the second pad to a second electrode of the light-emitting element through the first lead.
