摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming technique that allows compensation of non-uniformity of output values from multiple light quantity detecting sensors even with occurrence of temporal variations, in an image forming apparatus capable of controlling the amount of light beams according to each of colors by use of multiple light quantity detecting sensors. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, a light beam of a reference color is incident on each of multiple light quantity detecting sensors, each of which outputs a signal at a voltage corresponding to the amount of the light beam. The signal is converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter and input to a write controller 200. The write controller 200 calculates the amount of deviation between an output value from the light quantity detecting sensor 110K of the reference color and an output value from each of the light quantity detecting sensors 110Y, 110M and 110C of non-reference colors. Using the amount of deviation, the output values from the light quantity detecting sensors 110Y, 110M and 110C are compensated. LDC (Laser Diode for Cyan), LDM (Laser Diode for Magenta) and LDY (Laser Diode for Yellow) are controlled based on the compensated output values so as to keep the amount of light beams constant respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
