<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable connector which can be properly assembled in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A flat cable connector comprises: a body part to which a flat cable 10 is assembled; an insertion opening into which the flat cable is inserted; an insertion part 130 through which the flat cable inserted into the insertion opening passes; a stop part on which a tip end of the flat cable having passed through the insertion part abuts so that an insertion depth of the flat cable is limited, thereby preventing the further insertion of the flat cable; an exposed part 140 which is opened in the rear of the stop part at a position facing a contact of a mating connector; a support part 150 which restricts the tip end of the flat cable so that the tip end may not be lifted; a fixed part which is coupled to a recessed groove 11 of the inserted flat cable; an engagement part which engages with a corresponding engagement part of the mating connector; a pressing part which releases the engagement with the corresponding engagement part of the mating connector; and a connection part which is positioned between the engagement part and the pressing part and is connected to the body part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
