<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a neutron absorber in proximity to a distal end of a control rod blade as further as possible in order to improve reaction effects of a control rod. <P>SOLUTION: A control rod is comprised of four blades 20 and a tie rod 22. The four blades 20 are formed in such a manner that holes 21 each for accommodating a neutron absorber 8 while extending in a lateral direction from a central part side of the control rod to a distal end part of the blade can form a line in a length direction. The tie rod 22 is a center support member, with a crossing-shaped cross section, having end faces fitted to openings of the holes 21 of the blade 20 at four sides. The end faces at the four sides of the tie rod 22 are fitted to the openings of the holes of the blade 20 and joined by welding, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
