A mode conversion device of a digital image processor is provided to convert a mode of a digital image processor rapidly by sensing one-axial motion of a digital image processor and counting the sensed motion. A sensor(39) senses the motion of a digital image processor, and a comparison unit(41-1) compares a motion value of the sensor with a reference value. A counter(41-2) counts the motion frequency of the sensor when the motion value exceeds the reference value. A controller(41-3) stores a mode conversion setting value of the digital image processor, and converts a mode of the digital image processor into the mode corresponding to the setting value by searching the setting value depending on the motion frequency count result of the sensor. The controller receives a user input and turns on the power of a sensor for the mode conversion of the digital image processor.
