<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device and an image formation apparatus which are capable of suppressing faulty cleaning and blade turning-up. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning device comprises a removal member which is disposed upstream of a cleaning blade in a rotation direction of a belt member and comes in contact with a surface of the belt member in a counter rotation direction of the belt member to remove foreign material attached to a surface of the belt member, and a contact pressure adjustment part which adjusts a contact pressure between the removal member and the belt member. The contact pressure adjustment part makes adjustments so as to satisfy P1<P2, where P1 represents a contact pressure of the removal member in a region of the belt member, the region corresponding to a toner image that is to be not transferred to a sheet, and P2 represents a contact pressure of the removal member in a region of the belt member, the region corresponding to a toner image to be transferred to the sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
