<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing the size of a hot water storage tank while enjoying discount of the electricity rate. <P>SOLUTION: In a power source device 100 of a heat pump type hot water supplier, an inverter circuit 40 converts the DC power into the AC power to form the driving power of a motor 215. A boosting circuit 30 rectifies and smoothes the AC power to be supplied from the commercial AC power source, and controls the AC power to the predetermined voltage, and supplies the power to the inverter circuit 40. A secondary battery 15 is charged by using the AC power to be supplied from the commercial AC power source.
