PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery such that a nonaqueous electrolyte has superior permeability, and the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having the same and a method of manufacturing the secondary battery.

SOLUTION: The positive electrode 12 for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode current collector 12a and a positive electrode active material layer 12b. The positive electrode active material layer 12b is formed on the positive electrode current collector 12a. The positive electrode active material layer 12b includes a positive electrode active material, a binder and an acid anhydride.
