<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cursor selection type input device, a cursor selection method and a computer program in which a cursor can properly select a selection target intuitively matching selection operation by a user when a moving direction of the cursor is indicated. <P>SOLUTION: When a moving direction of a cursor 64 is indicated by operation of a direction key 19 on a character input screen 60 shown on a liquid crystal display 15 for example at the time of retrieval of a facility, distances between an end of a selection target currently selected by the cursor and ends of selection target candidates to be candidates selected subsequently are calculated (S23 and S26). On the basis of the calculated distances between the ends, evaluation of the selection target candidates is determined (S28), and the selection target candidate having the highest evaluation is identified as a selection target to be subsequently selected by the cursor 64 (S29). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
