<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for positioning grinding particles capable of automatically achieving the disposition of at least two kinds of grinding particle, each having different particles from one another, without replacing an accommodation device. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 positions the grinding particles 2a-2c in the accommodation device 4. First accommodation ports 5a for accommodating the first grinding particles 2a and second accommodation ports 5b for accommodating the second grinding particles 2b are provided in the accommodation device 4. In a device fixing the grinding particles 2a, 2b by means of a holding force generating unit 7 that generates the holding force, the holding force that fixes the first grinding particles 2a in the first accommodation ports 5a is adjustable, independently of the holding force that fixes the second grinding particles 2b in the second accommodation ports 5b.
