<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline manganese dry cell capable of preventing the cell from liquid leakage by suppressing increase of an inner pressure of the cell by reducing a hydrogen gas generating amount even when erroneously charging the alkaline dry cell under heavy load conditions. <P>SOLUTION: An alkaline manganese dry cell includes: powder of zinc or zinc alloy; and a negative electrode containing alkaline electrolyte. The alkaline electrolyte includes oxide with an oxidation reduction potential in a range of -2.1 V or more and -1.5 V or less relative to the standard hydrogen electrode in a 35 wt.% potassium hydroxide aqueous solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
