<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a release of an area storing a no-longer-needed command without using compaction or garbage collection. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a command buffer in a command management unit stores a group of commands received from a host. First-in first-out means comprises a group of entries including an address part that stores an address given to a command buffer area storing each in the group of commands. The address part included in each of the group of entries of the first-in first-out means is connected in a circular pattern and includes substitution means. The substitution means substitutes a first address stored in the address part with either of an address that is held by free address setting means and is given to a command buffer area storing a no-longer-needed command or a second address stored in the address part that stores the first address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
