<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reliably determine fracture of a shutter. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: a photoreceptor drum 2; a primary charger 10 that charges the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2; a sheet type charger shutter 30 that takes a shielding position S where the shutter is inserted between the photoreceptor drum 2 and the primary charger 10 to shield the primary charger 10 from the photoreceptor drum 2 and a retreating position T where the shutter is wound up from between the photoreceptor drum 2 and the primary charger 10 to open between the photoreceptor drum 2 and the primary charger 10; a winding device 52 that winds up the charger shutter 30 into a roll; a detection sensor 36 that detects a winding amount of the charger shutter 30 at the retreating position T; and a controller 50 that determines abnormality of the charger shutter 30 based on the detection results of the detection sensor 36 when the detection results of the detection sensor 36 show no change. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
