<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly calculate the position of a digital camera. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera includes: an SDRAM 7 or an external memory card 15 for storing positional information of a plurality of GPS satellites at a first time; a CPU 20 for calculating positions of the plurality of GPS satellites at a second time later than the first time from the positional information of the plurality of GPS satellites at the first time, selecting any area, and determining a GPS satellite to newly acquire the positional information preferentially for GPS satellites closer to the selected area among the plurality of GPS satellites, from the positions of the plurality of GPS satellites at the second time; and a GPS module 18 for newly acquiring positional information from the determined GPS satellite, and calculating a current position of the digital camera from the newly acquired positional information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
