<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf spring that can improve rigidity, while thinning a plate thickness by lower-cost manufacturing man-hours. <P>SOLUTION: In the leaf spring having a movable plate elastically deformable so as to be bendable in a face-outside direction, related to a movable plate 21, Young's moduli in a face-inside longitudinal direction in a surface layer 31 reaching a depth of α×t<SB POS="POST">O</SB>from the surface 31a of the movable plate, and in a bottom surface 32 reaching a depth of α×t<SB POS="POST">O</SB>from the bottom surface 32a are set to be larger than 215 GPa and ≤290 GPa, and the plate thickness of the movable plate 21 is set to be 0.4 to 9 mm.
