<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door stop device capable of performing locking/unlocking operation of a stopper plate only with opening/closing operation of a door. <P>SOLUTION: A device body 2 of a door stop device 1 comprises: a base frame 10 secured to a door 5; and a rotary frame 20 rotatably attached to the base frame 10. The rotary frame 20 is provided with a magnet 3, an engaging protrusion 46 which engages with a stopper plate 52 drawn by the magnet 3, and an engaging projection 47 which can be inserted into an opening 53 formed in the stopper plate 52. When the engaging protrusion 46 engages with the stopper plate 52, the rotary frame 20 rotates from an unlock position P1 in which the engaging projection 47 is not inserted into the opening 53 of the stopper plate 52 to a lock position P2 in which the engaging projection 47 is inserted into the opening 53 of the stopper plate 52.
