Disclosed are a ferrite sintered body with increased strength and a noise filter provided therewith. The disclosed ferrite sintered body has a Cu content of 1-10 mol% in terms of CuO. In the ferrite sintered body there are spinel-structure crystal containing Fe, Zn, Ni, Cu and O as the main phase, and there are particles of a Cu compound with average particle diameter of 0.5-10 µm at the crystal grain boundary. By means of the particles of the Cu compound at the crystal grain boundary, growth of particles in the main phase can be suppressed, allowing a composition comprising microcrystals, and because the propagation of fractures at the crystal grain boundary can be suppressed, the ferrite sintered body can have increased strength. |
