<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data creation device, a data creation method, and a data creation program capable of creating print data, and a printer which prints according to the print data, so as not to waste a print medium for printing a draft. <P>SOLUTION: A data creation device creates print data for printing a print image (a first print image) by reducing the line width of a character part 41 having a font size larger than a predetermined value, and holding the line width of a character part 42 having a font size lower than the predetermined value in a final print image 43 to be finally printed on a print medium 40, to make a printer print the print data. Thereby, a draft print is executed. After that, the data creation device creates print data for printing a print image (a second print image) holding the character part 41 and deleting the character part 42 in the final print image 43 to print the data superimposingly on the print medium having the first print image printed thereon.
