<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion system which can detect malfunctions by a relatively simple process. <P>SOLUTION: An electric power conversion system 1 converts electric power energizing a motor 10 having a coil group 18 composed of coils 11 to 13 corresponding to three phases. An inverter part 20 has multiple MOSs 21 to 26. A U-phase voltage detection part 51 detects voltage applied to a U-phase coil 11, and a W-phase voltage detection part 53 detects voltage applied to a W-phase coil 13. A pull-up resistance 62 is provided between a V-phase coil 12 in which voltage is not detected and the high potential side of a battery 31. A microcomputer 70 detects malfunctions based on a U-phase terminal voltage Vu and a W-phase terminal voltage Vw.
