<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent early deterioration of a resistance film while improving the light transmittance of a resistance film type touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel 10 provided in a touch panel device 1 includes side substrates 11 and 12 which are disposed facing each other with a clearance formed therebetween, and first and second transparent resistance films 111 and 121 are formed on the surfaces to which both the substrates 11 and 12 face each other, respectively. Insulating liquid (not shown) is sealed in the clearance between both the substrates 11 and 12. The touch panel device 1 includes a microcomputer and a control unit 14 consisting of a peripheral circuit. The control unit 14 includes a mode changeover section 15, a voltage measuring section 16 and an AC power supply 17. The voltage applied between both the substrates 11 and 12 in a standby mode is an alternating current from the AC power supply 17 so that the deterioration of the resistance film of both the substrates 11 and 12 is reduced compared with a case of being a direct current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
