<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing hydrogen for recovering impurities, in particular methane, existing in completion of the production and allowing recirculation of the impurities for water vapor reforming without any energy loss. <P>SOLUTION: The process for producing hydrogen from a hydrocarbon feedstock and water vapor comprises: a stage wherein a synthetic gas is produced in a vapor reforming unit of the hydrocarbon feedstock in the presence of water vapor and a fuel provides heat necessary to a reaction; a stage wherein the synthetic gas obtained in the preceding stage is converted into vapor and a hydrogen stream containing methane and carbon dioxide is generated; a stage wherein carbon dioxide existing in the stream obtained in the vapor conversion stage is recovered and the carbon dioxide can be separated from the hydrogen stream; and a stage for recovering the impurities existing in the hydrogen stream, recycling the impurities to vapor reforming and including a decompression phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
