<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an electric heating device economically and improve installation of the electric heating device to an air conditioning housing. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to an electric heating device, in particular, to a motor vehicle auxiliary heating device. The heating device has a layered heating block 3 including at least one PTC heating element 2 and a radiator element 3 abutting thereto, and the block is held in a housing 1 forming oppositely situated air passage areas 8 with formed air passage apertures 9. There are proposed flow resistance elements 10, 30 which are flow resistance elements 10, 30 provided so as to protrude beyond the outer surface of the housing 1, manufactured as a component independent of the housing 1, and connected to the housing. At least one of the flow resistance elements 10, 30 is provided between walls of an air conditioning housing forming a flow path and the motor vehicle auxiliary heating device and at the height of the motor vehicle auxiliary heating device, and which fills a gap between the housing 1 and the walls of the air conditioning housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
