<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a breather passage that prevents intrusion of water or dust into a motor chamber or a gear chamber of an electric actuator device without increasing a size of an actuator housing. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator 26 has a base member 31 having a second attachment surface opposed to a first attachment surface of a sidewall 14 of a cylinder head. A breather passage that connects an interior of a motor chamber or an interior of a gear chamber with an exterior of an actuator housing, includes breather chambers C1 and C4 laid out between a first groove 14h and a second groove 14i formed on the first attachment surface of the sidewall 14 of the cylinder head, and a first groove 31g and a second groove 31h formed on the second attachment surface of the base member 31.
