<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapse detection system accurately detecting a collapse that is a detection object by distinguishing it from a disturbance phenomenon. <P>SOLUTION: A collapse detection system comprises: a photographing part 11 for photographing a monitored image of a detection target; a calculation part 13 for calculating, using two different time-space Gabor filters strongly responding to two different moving directions, a two-dimensional velocity by regarding a velocity maximizing a motion energy for each of the two moving directions as an orthogonal projection component to the directions of the two-dimensional velocity of each pixel within the image photographed by the photographing part 11; and a determination part 14 for determining that a collapse has occurred in the location of the pixel if the maximum value of a motion energy for each of the two moving directions is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, with the two-dimensional velocity within a predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
