PURPOSE: A TOE(TCP/IP Offload Engine) network device for reducing a load is provided to differently apply a PCI express communication protocol and a RapidIO communication protocol according to the size of data received through a single port. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(210) includes a first processor core and a second processor core. The first processor core processes data based on a first communication protocol. The second processor core processes data based on a second communication protocol. A receiving module(240) analyzes the type and size of a packet received from an Ethernet interface. When it is needed to notify the receiving unit of the packet, the receiving module notifies the first processor core or the second processor core of the packet according to the size of the packet. A receiving managing module(230) transmits the packet to a host CPU through a host interface by a command of the receiving unit.
