PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pick-up device for assuring proper operation by effectively and properly suppressing temperature rise. SOLUTION: The image pick-up device has an opening portion for exposing an image pick-up element 14, and a partition wall 19 for isolating a base plate 15 mounted with the image pick-up element 14 from air in a casing 11. Between the image pick-up element 14 and the base plate 15, a diffusion plate 16 is provided which is integrally fixed to the image pick-up element 14.
