PURPOSE: A misfire detecting device for a multi-cylinder four-cycle engine is provided to precisely and accurately detect the misfire of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A misfire detecting device for a multi-cylinder four-cycle engine comprises a time calculation unit, a deviation calculation unit, and an integrated value calculation unit, and a determination unit. The time calculation unit calculates time until multiple pulses are counted. The deviation calculation unit calculates a deviation between a first time corresponding to the calculated time and a second time corresponding to time when a current pulse is counted. The integrated value calculation unit calculates an integrated value by integrating the calculated deviation. The determination unit determines whether one cylinder(12) among multiple cylinders is misfired based on the calculated integrated value.
